Marvellous Magpie

I'm back on track with my jewellery making, and produced a few more items yesterday, for the first time since before Christmas.  Suffered for it as the arthritic right arm (particularly my shoulder) was very painful by bedtime, but the painkillers worked.  As long as I pace myself sensibly I am determined to carry on with this most enjoyable craft.  I think the break has been good, as I now feel quite inspired.

On Sunday I have a stall at the Marvellous Magpie Sale, 10am-2pm, St James' Church Hall, Mere Green.   This will be my first sale of 2014 so hoping it will be successful.

A Happy New Year to my fellow plotters

It's hard to believe I began blogging in 2010, and despite all that has happened since then, to change my life around, I'm still determined to keep on plotting, and blogging on about it.  It's New Year's Day, grey, wet and windy, but it's a good opportunity to start thinking about my plans for this year's crops, so time to look through the seed catalogues.  The freezer is still very full of produce from last year's bumper harvest and it needs using up, so I've got vegetable soup on the go in the slow cooker,  have just cooked down  apple and blackberries in the microwave, and there's a container of grape juice thawing out.   I really must use up some of my jams and jellies too, unless I can share some more out amongst my family and neighbours.

As I write this, it's just coming up to 2pm, and becoming darker and more grim out there.  A day to hunker down in front of the TV and to watch an old film.

A very happy New Year to all my fellow plotters.  Hopefully, see you all soon.
