A Happy New Year!

After some much needed post Christmas/New Year clearing up, and a stroll down to the shops and back, I set off for a walk up Hillwood before the sun went down. The sky was a clear blue, apart from a few pretty clouds, and above Dead Man's Wood a buzzard soared above the trees, and a bright moon hung over the lane. What a lovely day, if a little 'parky' as they say up North.

It was good to see so many people out and about. At the top of the hill I just had to take yet another tree photo, before heading back towards home, and a very welcome cuppa.

The Christmas celebrations continued when my sister and husband stayed with us for a couple of days. There were more get-togethers, present swopping and, of course, more eating and drinking. It was good that K & A were able to see the New Year in with us before they returned home, but they will be back next month, when Mike celebrates his 70th birthday.

So, all in all, it was a good Christmas, and let's hope it will be a very good year - for everyone!
