Is there anybody out there?

Some of my followers have told me that they have tried, unsuccessfully, to leave comments to my Blogs. Yesterday I tweaked some of my settings. So, if there's anyone out there, with a bit of time on their hands, I'd be very grateful if you could give it a go!

Spent a couple of hours down on the plot this afternoon, planting three rows of potatoes in the section ear-marked for brassicas. This was never my original intention - potatoes are OK, but not my favourite veg, and take up too much room. However, earlier in the year I'd rather stupidly removed the netting from the over-wintered cabbages in this area, and exposed the rather sad, little, plants to the marauding pigeons. There was nothing for it, but to remove them, club-root and all. So, whether it works or not, the potatoes have gone in, hopefully to cleanse the area. In any case, I'd rather not risk planting it up with more brassicas, just yet. The remainder of the intended brassica section is rather small, but I'll just have to squeeze as many plants in as I can, until more space is freed up. Last year's early cabbages were fine.

My neighbour Boula had arrived just before me. What a little worker! She just sets to and gets on with the job. We do very little talking when we work, but made up for it on the way back home. Boula, riding her bike, said she was following me to see where I lived. There was nothing for it. I just had to ask her in for a cuppa!
